We had our wedding and reception in my friend Kym's backyard. It turned out to be a wonderful venue. Before hand, when we were working in the yard, building the dance floor and getting things ready to go, I was beginning to think maybe we should have just rented a place. But once the day came, all the hard work was worth it. It was a very unique and personal setting. We wanted it to be a PARTY, you know, FUN. So we planned good food, good wine, plenty of beer and great music. Good times.
I love this picture of the wedding party and all the guests on the dance floor. I always wondered why photographers didn't get a "group shot" at weddings. I specifically requested Morgan to take this picture and Uncle Jim (can you guess who he is?) really made the picture for us.
I made the Cabana curtains. They are now hanging in my dining room and will grace the windows in my office/scrapbook room in the near future.
The beautiful and tasty cake. Christy and I made the flower embellishments out of fondant. My friend Diana made the double chocolate amaretto cake with ganache icing. YUM. Check out the too cute napkins that I got at Swoozie’s.

We wanted the food to be GOOD. And different. So we had Taste of Thai (one of our favorite resturants) and Sushi. We loved it.
I embellished the take out boxes with our intial for the stir fry. Soooo cute! 
We actually ate our wedding. Remember, I wanted it to be a party. I always eat at parties.
We couldn't figure out how to get and keep the beer cold. No industrial size frig at someone's home. So we improvised and used this baby pool. A little trashy, but at least it was blue.
We did a bit better on the wine. My mother- in- law got these drink tubs at Bed, Bath & Beyond for $5 each. And she let me keep them! And now for the Dancing......................................
